Straight Talk (ST) and Telcel America (TA) are the same company (as are Tracfone, Net10wireless, Total wireless, and Page Plus Cellular
You are correct, that ST gives you the most data for $45. But if you are interested in international calling and/or 10 GB of data then TA gives you a better deal.
Straight Talk

$45 Unlimited Nationwide talk and text First 5GB of Data at High Speed, and then at 2G*
$60 Unlimited Nationwide, talk and text First 5GB of Data at High Speed, and then at 2G*
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile to Mexico, China, India & Canada, and Unlimited calls to select International landline destinations
Telcel America (prices with Auto-Refill)
All TA plans above $32 include Unlimited Mobile to Mobile to Mexico, China, India & Canada, and Unlimited calls to select International landline destinations
$26.10 Unlimited talk and text First 0.1 GB at 4G LTE† then stop
$31.50 Unlimited talk and text First 1 GB at 4G LTE† then 2G
---
$36.00 Unlimited talk and text First 0.5 GB at 4G LTE† then 2G
$40.50 Unlimited talk and text First 2 GB at 4G LTE† then 2G
$49.50 Unlimited talk and text First 4 GB at 4G LTE† then 2G
$54.00 Unlimited talk and text First 10 GB at 4G LTE† then 2G
My point is that in many cases the corporation is offering better values under the TA brand than the ST brand, but if you are not an immigrant you are very unlikely to even consider TA. The ST offer for $60 is ridiculously overpriced compared to the TA offer.
Remember these are just brand names for the same company. They all operate on the Verion network.
The only difference is marketing. But you pay ST $30 for 1500 minutes talk and text and 0.1 GB of data, and TA costs $29 ($26.10 with autopay) for the unlimited talk and text with 0.1 GB of data.
