I am often surprised at how many items actually cost more in larger sizes. Shopping W-mart I saw a one pound box of baking soda for $1.00. In another section of the store they had a two pound box of baking soda, same brand, for $2.25. Go figure!

Check prices per ounce and never assume the larger container is cheaper.

Keep an eye on walgreens, they often have baking soda on sale for $.50 for a one pound box.
