I can relate with you Rapture on dragonflies. I have them in my back yard also. I definitely don't have sitting water anywhere but a person is entitled to feel how they feel. Just because the next person isn't afraid of something doesn't mean we all shouldn't be afraid of it. Every individual is different.
The first post explained that the dragonflies were physically coming in contact with Rapture. I want to sit on my porch in peace, not having a lot of dragon flies physically diving into me, mosquitoes is nuisance enough. If you can't be helpful to her question, don't complain. If you can't answer the question don't say anything mean. Almost everyone has something they are afraid of. Right?

This is a great idea. I have been a purple martin landlord for 4 years now and I watch them stuff dragonflies down their young every day through the months of June and early July. As with purple martins, I also provide housing for tree swallows so there's no flying insect problems in my back yard.
