I am hoping someone out there can help me please.

I live in Quebec Canada, and just recently moved into a house that has a patch of dirt that we can use for planting gardens, and my daughter and I want to do just that. The problem is, I don't know which plants work well for growing in the middle of July.

Could someone help me please. A bonus to where this patch of dirt is... when the sun is at it's highest and hotest this spot has shade.

Your best bet would be to go to your local garden center and talk to someone there. I live in coastal Maine and we can generally plant well into the summer. My summer annuals don't really start to take off til after July 4th anyway. It all depends on your local conditions whether or not it's still good planting time.
