Since I was going away for the weekend, it looks like I may have over-watered by tomato plant. Up till now, the plant has been strong, tall and started flowering. It has been growing in a barrel size container (as suggested by a poster here on CD).

When I came home yesterday, about half of the 3 foot tall plant was yellow and the stems holding the yellow leaves were very weak. Rather than being dried out, the soil was muddy. I immediately grabbed a drill and drilled drainage holes at the bottom of the pot and muddy water came flowing out. I figured my first step was to try and get the soil back to a better level.

This is the plant I have grown from seed. Can anyone tell me if all is now lost or if there is something else I should be doing?

Hard to say if it's too late but I'm guessing not. What I did once when something similar happened was dig it back out and put some dry dirt around it, then watered it just a verry little bit just to ease stress of the roots from being re-planted. Responded well. FWIW
