Among my many volunteer plants this year up pops a type of cuke I do not remember even planting last year. Obviuosly I did cause the garden had never been there til we moved in. Anyway it is all over the place, they are round, have fuzzy, almost like a peach, but the fuzz many wear off after they mature a little. I picked a few this morning and a few last week. One of them I picked this morning was about the size of a softball. I would guess they are lemon cukes, but they are light green, not lemon. Does anyone have any ideas what they might be? I went to the Burpee website as that is where I get all my seeds and didn't see anything even similar.
Think I just solved my own problem and got an answer: I have decided the reason I can't find any info on the cukes? they are not cukes, they are squash...I planted the two in the same general area last year...HELLO, no I am not losing it completely and yes, I am sober..
I love the lemon cuke but I just cant get them to grow here in central Fla or I planted too late. I have seed for later this year, if I can find them now...LOL
