I've seen pros and cons on moisture meters although no one would argue that its important not to over or under water.

Is anyone knowledgeable on this topic?

I prefer one without batteries.

Some measure other things as well -ph factor

Any opinions?

A good indoor plant model will work just fine for the average home owner.
