Anyone has any experience with growing guava, lychee, star fruit and sugar apple? I'm in zone 9 and want to get some feedback and tips on these before i grow them, thanks!

same here. I am Central Fl and have a guava tree. The cold seems to knock it back every year but, it comes back. There are lychee trees in our area. The others, I have not seen any growing here but that does not mean they don;t. In my area, I am a zone 9.

Wish I could grow those trees! UFL has some excellent publications on horticulture, “In Florida, carambola may be grown in warm locations along the southeastern (e.g., Merritt Island) and southwestern (e.g., Tampa Bay area) coasts, Miami-Dade, Lee, Broward, Palm Beach, Monroe, and Collier Counties, and in protected areas in Brevard, Pinellas, Highlands, and Polk Counties.“ - HS12/MG269: Carambola Growing in the Florida Home Landscape

Get the Ortho book, "Citrus and other subtropical Fruits." It touches on all of these. Tells you where and how to plant them, in ground or in containers.
