This just popped up in our yard and is now flowering. Its about 14" tall and has multiple flower heads forming. It looks pretty but if its going to self-seed throughout the garden.....out it goes! Anyone know what it is?

Agree! Rudbeckia/black eyed susan!
Easy to transplant if you don't like where it popped up

Black Eyed Susan it is! I'm a bit embarassed that I didn't see it myself Only excuse I have is that I'm up to my eyeballs in different plant and bush descriptions for the design of the new front beds. I had just noticed today that a few of the suspected perennials in the back beds had started to bloom. Thanks everyone for helping me out!

You're excused. That's one freaky looking Black Eyed Susan. I didn't immediately pick up on that.
