I'm starting my seeds today. Eight weeks from last frost here. Still have pick able parsley, rosemary, thyme and oregano.

We pulled our first planting of turnips and I'm so thrilled! First time we've planted something edible in the garden.

I am quite jealous! 8 weeks for us isn't until mid-March, but I will be starting some of my determinate tomatoes and peppers in mid-late February. We've had a relatively mild winter, but we've had a few VERY cold outbreaks that definitely would've killed off any self-seeded parsley or other herbs I had hoped might make it..

Tomatoes, kale, avocados, oranges, and tangerines are from the garden/yard today. Might be some bananas soon. Oh, and a lemon for the guacamole.

My herbs r doing well due to a mild winter. The radish weavels r probably greeting UR radishes.

Try a Eco friendly insecticide, many new ones on the market kid & pet friendly too!

I hate it when moles eat my root veggies. I set bait in their tunnels. Once in awhile one of the dogs will catch one. YUCK!

I made chili today and I used home canned tomato juice and frozen gypsy peppers that I had diced and vacuum packed.

I harvested two small radishes. The row failed to thrive, between something eating the leaves and the cold weather, but I'll try planting more next month.
