Just picked up my bounty for the week, 3 zucchinis, one squash, one surprise anaheim pepper and a bunch of cherry tomatoes. I think I will make some zucchini bread today.
Today, I was able to make a mixed green salad pizza for my family. My garden produced the mixed lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mixed bell peppers and I purchased the other ingredients from a local farmer's market.
I'm so excited that my small garden is able to provide wonderful tasting food for my family.

Nice! I got some more Asian pears, a blackberry and some grape tomatoes. I found a stinkbug nymph on my blackberries. I killed it. Little b@stard. The nymphs don't look anything like the adults, but it stinks just as much.
I sprayed the berries with the Gucci non-toxic pest spray I got from wholefoods. Hopefully I can actually eat some more berries this year. I really don't like blackberries, though. The bugs LOVE them and they take so long to ripen. Plus they don't taste so hot...but hey...I"m doing my part to repopulate the East coast with native species.
I also cooked some Kohlrabi leaves over the weekend. I figured my "plump stems" may not all happen since it is so hot...The leaves are pretty delicious. My punkins got bitten up by squash bugs, but they're still hanging on in there.
