I picked a couple more squash, a handful of beans and the same amount of cherry tomatoes. I also picked a real tomato. It looks great, but I will say, on the vine it looked a lot bigger than when it was in my hand. I am not complaining, we will still enjoy it. I just wish we would get some rain, and I wish the tomatoes would ripen a few at a time, instead of one here and one there...

One lone strawberry, two swiss chard and a partridge in a pear tree.

Actually, it's still early in New England but I'm getting things to put in healthy smoothies.

Two fist-sized tomatoes!! Several months ago i tossed out some tomato table scraps under a tree (hoping the possums would eat them) .. apparently the seeds took and produced 3 flourishing plants! i was amazed, as did not know the seeds would sprout without being properly planted or watered!

There are about 20 more little blossoms on the plants so guess my "trash heap" garden was a success

We don't get a lot of sun so have been experimenting the last couple years to see what goes best. It's been hot (for our area) and what we've planted has done great so far! Been eating lots of kale, chard and broccoli. Peas will be ready to start on in the next week, and have been getting blueberries. Potatoes, garlic, onions and carrots are going great guns but not ready yet. We have lots of evergreen huckleberries and those will start coming on in around 3-4 weeks.

Today with dinner we had shelled peas freshly picked from the garden, steamed with butter and for dessert we had fresh picked strawberries and blueberries over vanilla icecream. Yesterday I made italian style zucchini.
