I had a blue juniper planted in front of my house a few months ago (I live in SW Pennsylvania). It is about 3 feet tall. It looked great at first, but in the last month or so it has developed a lot of brown areas. The only thing I could find about this inline was that it may have some kind of mites; however, I inspected it and I don't see any signs. It hasn't received much water--even though it has rained a fair here, the tree is close enough to my front porch that it is covered by the roof. It receives about six hours of sun every morning.
Any ideas? Too much sun, too little water, something else?
Maybe it was planted at the wrong time?
I really don't want it to die!
Thank you for any advice.
