GREENFIELD, Iowa (AP) — An Iowa couple have discovered an eerie presence in their pear tree, just in time for the approaching Halloween season.

Des Moines television station KCCI (Pumpkin Found Growing In Pear Tree - Entertainment News Story - KCCI Des Moines ) reports that Phil and JaNelle Lovely recently discovered a pumpkin that appears to be growing in the tree at their Greenfield home, 50 miles southwest of Des Moines.

Haha, I was about to make a comment about how "shouldn't it be a partridge in a pear tree, not a pumpkin?"

But then, it's over three months early for a patridge in a pear tree , at least as the song goes.

When I first moved here I had snow peas seemingly growing throughout my pear tree. Funny sight. They were good too. Shame they never grew like that again.
