It's supposed to be really nice on saturday (in massachusetts almost 90) so I was thinking of doing some planting and weeding. Is it too late in the season to plant perinneals and those decorative grass looking type plants? I certainly don't want to go out and spend the money to find them all dead in a week.
Now is a great time to plant perennials; between now and the first frost, they'll have plenty of time to sink in roots. Keep them well watered, mulch them come October or November, and they should be just fine.
