For 5 minutes there was this strange substance falling out of the sky. and there seemed to be "joyous shouting" coming form areas of the back yard.
If my memory serves me correctly could it possibly be that stuff they call rain!!!

It has been almost 3 weeks so I am not sure, but alas it is gone and the patio has already dried. They claim this strange phenomenon may happen again tomorrow, one can only hope.

I was out resetting and readjusting the sprinklers and still have really dry spots.
I will be moving all the potted plants into the garden under sprinkler heads in hopes that they will do ok if we have no rain while we are on vacation.

None for us today .

Hubby said it rained at the office and he works right down the street from you so it makes sense, but no rain at home.

That's something we noticed when we first moved out here (left the river area and moved closer to the ocean), less rain and more wind .

For anyone not familiar, it is a common occurence in Florida for it to rain on one side of the street and not the other.....we have some kooky weather in Florida . I guess today was another kooky weather day .

I thought I had really seen isolated showers until I moved to Florida.
I've never seen anything quite like what can happen here. Dry as a bone at our house, drenched in the next neighborhood.
OTOH
Unlike Colorado, when the Florida weather person predicts something, whether thunderstorms, wind, whatever--it really happens.
Not sure if this is because there are no mountains/upslope conditions or whatever, but the weather predictions I read in the paper or see on TV tend to be accurate.
Florida weather may be kooky, but not as *variable* as I am used to--which is, for me, a nice change.

I call it the "bubble"
It can be pouring 1 block north and south of us.
they are saying now 40 % instead of 60 so we shall see.

also I really think when the news gives the weather they are talking about the airport area. I have gone to weather.com put in my zip and get a totally different temp and forecast. I may even have to go wash my car in hopes that it will cause it to rain

We just got dumped on.
Lightning, thunder, and lots of rain.
It was really nice and refreshing.

It's a real tease, isn't it *sigh* ?

We've had a bit now since this post was started, but not nearly enough. I remember rainy Florida summers, I hope we'll see them again . It's really scary watching it get drier and drier here . Will we soon be as dry as Las Vegas?
