I posted on the Nashville city thread but got no response. I need to have my tree looked at. It might have carpenter ants (my neighbor said she lost hers to ants a few years back). Can anyone recommend a company that will come and look at the tree and be fair/reasonable? It can be a chain, I just don't know anything about trees . . . . this is a big one. Probably 15 years old? Oak I think? Thanks!

Your best bet, if no one can make a recommendation, it to look for an ISA certified arborist, or a company that employs one. I did a quick google and there are at least a half dozen around Nashville.
