I know right. I want to try planting some fruit trees next spring.
Why wait? If you don't have time now plant some in the early fall and water. The roots will grow during the winter.

weather's been very nice actually. i'm in Northern VA....near DC.
we had a mild winter and lots of rain in spring. but our tomatos do pretty well every year....as if independent of weather....

it looks great, I wish I knew how to take a pic and then transfer here. I could show everyone what an over crowded garden looks like: don't think I will ever learn. Every year I overdue it, every year it looks like a jungle, but luckily I still get a harvest....

I went on vacation for a week and came back to an explosion of greens!!!
It rained 4 days out of 8 days we were gone and this is the result!

Tomato plants looked huuuuge but with very little tomato flowers....so I cut off 'unnecessary' branches to give the plants more power to make tomatos (after i took the pictures). Now, the tomato plants look pretty empty...i may have over done the 'trimming'.
