Anyone have any clue what this is? Its growing in Mass and is in flower now. 1st pic is close up of the flower, second shows the bush (its about 18" tall). Thanks!
Are the flowers sticky and the leaves evergreen? It may be a mountain laurel/kalmia latifolia.
Are the little guys in the front brunnera, variegated solomon's seal and garlic mustard (left)? I would pull up the garlic mustard. These are invasive...but edible.

Leaves are evergreen but note that the flowers are "umbrella" shaped. Definately not Mountain Laurel.
If you look closer at the flowers, they are not cupped like most flowers (and like Mountain Laurel) they are shaped like a closed umbrellas. Do you see what I mean? I can't find any picture of Mountain Laurel that shows that sort of configuration. If you know of a picture that shows this, please, please post it!
Va-Cat I understand your confusion. The buds take a while to open on some Mountain Laurels. Try this link to Clemson's page on them. It has a picture where a few flowers are fully open but the rest are still in the closed state.
