Weed. It looks most like red sorrel. Each of the following has a few pictures for comparison.

Yes yes yes! I can stop obsessing over that now. I kept thinking it looked lik,e Shepherd's....something. Weed ID isn't my strong suit.

Shepherd's Purse? Yep very similar. I'm still learning the weed ID and we are getting a lot of those calls this year. I think I could find one of everything out in the garden and lawn this year because the winter seems to have been "perfect" for weed growth.

I was just outside taking stock of the mountain of cleanup I have to do (with a bad ankle!) and couldn't believe the amount of red sorrel out there. That and henbit. OMG!!
