Is there any way possible to keep my potted aloe vera plants from freezing outside in the cold weather? Would putting them in a shed help?

No. They're tropical and will die if it gets too cold. You can bring them inside if you'd like to keep them alive in winter.

Agreed. I don't think a shed would help much. I always keep a small one for sunburn in the summer and just replace it each year.
