It has been a profusion of lush spring garden here in the past 4 or 5 days. We had light rain and drizze over the weekend and I think that helpes. It seems everything is coming up at once. I still have daffodils blooming along with helebores, violets, bleeding heart, Jacobs ladder and my forsythia is still in bloom to set it all off. This is my morning sun garden right next to the back door. On the other side of the back door I have a huge PJMwhich is still blooming as well. This is sort of like an Azallea (sp?) This mid May time is the best for this garden and I LOVE it. What is blooming in your area? One chore I don't care much for is digging the darn dandelions up from the lawn. I hate to use chemicals on them. Perhaps once a year we use a feed and weed on the lawn but that is all.

Ohhhhh, that cranberrybush (Viburnum) is to die for. We have 24 vibes now, and Doublefiles are my favorite. Oddly though, I don't have any European Cranberrybushes. I'll have to remedy that! Beautiful photos of a beautiful garden!

These are American cranberrybush.  I only have native viburnums so far. The color in Fall is also really nice. |

Since we have had a cool, extended spring we are seeing spring flowers and summer flowers at the same time. Around town is a profusion of iris, peonies, clematis, wisteria, knockout roses and antique roses, azaleas and rhododendrons. If the spring plants were somewhat shaded, they are still blooming. I think my rhododendron bloomed twice so far!

I love your honeysuckle. It makes me homesick for one that I cut down about 3 years ago as it was just getting out of hand. I did put in a new one that is just now beginning to look great. I need to learn how to post pictures on CD? is it complicated? Any suggestions? I am not a techie.

I use tinypic. You have to make sure you select "message board" or the pictures won't be the right size. TThen I use the URL tinypic provides with the IMG tags to imbed it in the message. Another option is to use the attach option in CD to directly upload the picture from your machine, like Tina did. |

Lush is right. This year has been very different for my garden... more blooms on the Laburnum, more irises, more dandelions, lol.
The lily of the valley is just ending, here. I have a huge patch under the windows and it's been so intoxicating for the last two weeks. Here's what's out right now:
My lovely Laburnum - more blooms than I've ever seen on it this year:
Coral Bells (I think "Dale's Strain" heuchera):
Some nice white Siberian Irises I picked up from a plant stand down the road, with ever-faithful chives:
