Hey fellow gardeners...
I have had this Sabal Birmingham palm for many years, but it has always been a very, very slow grower. I had it in one part of the lawn where it got little sun (despite it needing more sun than shade). We built onto our house last summer, so I moved it to another part of the lawn (same slope) and it did fine all the rest of that summer and winter. HOWEVER, I noticed last week that it is browning!! I think it is dying! This tree is a southeast palm and loves water and now it gets more water than it did before. We have had a wet spring/summer, I would think it would be thriving?
Anyone have any recommendations? (I have had this thing for about 8 years, it should be much larger than this)!
** Now onto my Windmill palm, again, I have had it for years and its looking good except this one part of a fairly new frond... it was like it died in the middle of the frond! We did have a couple of later than usual spring frosts in April, I wonder if that is what happened? It has never had this problem before? My other Windmill palm is fine.
If you look at it in the center of the photo, you can see what I am talking about...
Thanks in advance!
