I purchased a soil test kit and here are my results:
6.0 ph
nitrogen-low
phosphorus-low
potassium-high
I did get a result of 7.0 ph for a really green part of my lawn (front yard) nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were the same. Other parts of my lawn looked like the results above.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Don't trust those store-bought tests. At our Extension office, we try to discourage them because they are spectacularly inaccurate. For one thing, the tests we do don't even test for Nitrogen because it is so mobile in the soil. Most soils are pretty high in phosphorus, which is immobile, so that number doesn't change much unless you add it in, which you normally don't need to do in most parts of the US. The people at your Extension office will advise you on this.
I suggest you call your local Extension office. That would be VA Tech.
Virginia Cooperative Extension
I have consulted their site very often. It is an excellent Extension service. Have them do your soil test and the results will include written recommendations for a feeding protocol.
