It's a clematis and very popular. It is weed-like in its growth; it flowers for a long period of time; it's colorful and can stand great abuse when it is cut back. If you cut them down to, say, 18" in March, they will be 8 feet tall by mid-July and blooming like crazy.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! I live in zone 9 tried to grow clementis...but never seems to get going, then dies out in winter
