don't feel bad I did not know you could grow hosta in pots either , you learn something everyday ...Im getting ready to plant some nastriums in a pot and I hope they do well ...

I was about to lose all my hosta to the long legged rats with antlers we have around here so i moved them to pots to keep on the porches. They have done unbelievably well--much better if I had left them to the devil animals known as deer. Now that we have a 7ft deer fence up in the back I think I'll move some to the back garden but I'll always use some in pots for the front.

Some hosta do well in full partial/sun-just like coleus. I used to think coleus was only for shade but wonderful cultivars now for sun.
