Hi Nick,

I am glad to see the trees made it.... I would suggest pouring some hydrogen peroxide down into the crown a few ounces at a time. If you notice some fizzling, let the fizzling stop and pour some more in... repeat until step until there is no more fizzling when your pour.... This will help with any possible bud rot. I would also sprinkle a cup of pure un-scented Epsom salt around the soil of each tree. Then apply water to help dissolve the salt... This will help the fronds green up faster. I would then apply fertilizer in May.. I am not sure if I gave you any when you bought the trees from me.. But if not contact me.
As far as trimming the fronds i would do it the end of March... You can cut the complete dead fronds off and trim down to green on the partial ones.

Thanks

Kevin
