At this time of year, I keep several plastic bins/trash cans accessible to cover the roses next to my front walk in case of hail. In the raised beds, I use tomato cages as supports for tarps, securing them with large rocks and clothespins. Everything else gets pulled into the garage as required. It's not a perfect system, but it helps reduce the damage from the wild weather we often get here in late spring.

And now that we're having the Hail Apocalypse, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna lose everything I managed to save during the snowstorm. Sigh.
