Thanks for the replys. I have Cashmere Zoysia and yes, I've been spraying various things. I sprayed some Image Kills Nutsedge about 2 weeks ago as I have that too. Also, I spot sprayed some Drive XLR8 a week ago (supposed to work on Crabgrass), but didn't have much of an effect. I've also got some runners of what I believe is (another kind of?) Bermuda. I bought some Grass-B-Gon (fluazifop) and Turflon Ester (Triclopyr) that I've read is good to mix around 1/4 to kill Bermuda without harming the Zoysia. I just spot sprayed 2 gallons this morning on the Bermuda and the stuff I took the picture of (whatever it is). Time to wait and see what happens. I'll post some pictures in a few days of the result. Here are a few better pics. The first one is the fatter bladed stuff I'm calling Bermuda that doesn't have runners laying across my grass. The rest are of the Quack Grass/Bermuda/Crabgrass/Centipede stuff with the thinner blades running on top of my grass.

I agree. Looks like what we called Centipede grass when I lived in Texas.

What are the differences between Crabgrass and Quackgrass?

Quack grass was a big problem for farmers in Minnesota until Atrazine got invented.

The only 2 things I know that will control quack grass is Atrazine ( a restricted use herbicide) and Round Up ( which will kill the other grasses in your lawn )

We have it - Wire Grass.
Scientific name Aristida Stricta. Some refer to it as Bermudagrass.

I appreciate everyone's imput, but I don't think it's Centipede or Bermuda. Those are turf grasses, right? This stuff I have has long runners that lay on top of the ground, not in it like St. Augustine (see the last 3 pics). You couldn't use it for turf if you tried. I think it's Crabgrass.

Scroll down to the grass section. Clicking on the name of each grass (weed) will link you to pics, descriptions, etc. Hopefully you can find a match.

Those running ones are bermuda grass. 100% certain.

Crabgrass does NOT run across the grass like Bermuda - it runs out from the center of the plant and is pretty much contained in that clump - it looks entirely different from bermuda. No way would I ever mistake one for the other. Crabgrass grows in clumps...and is fat bladed. It is also pretty easy to dig completely up with the right tool. You will never EVER get all the roots of bermuda. Ever. Bermuda grows by skinny runners snaking across the top of grass where you CAN see it, AND underneath next to the soil where you can't.

I don't know anyone that likes a nice green lawn, that considers bermuda to be a turf grass. It's a grass...and yea it will definitely claim the turf if you let it. But everyone I know calls it the devil.
