I planted 2 endless summer hydrangeas in the summer of 2012. They were both in bloom at the time. The summer of 2013, the hydrangea on the right grew back perfectly, while the hydrangea on the left sprouted one lone green stem with a few leaves that produced no blooms. I was frustrated, but i decided to give it another year. So this summer the same thing has happened. The plan on the left has 1 or 2 green stalks about 6-8 inches tall, with green leaves, but no blooms. My plant on the right is about 2 feet in each direction. How do i save my hydrangea?! I live in the south suburbs of chicago. Thanks

Without a pic, it sounds like one is getting all the water and nutrients while the other is nothing.

When you planted them, did you prep both holes identically? Peat, compost, acid blooming fertilizer, etc. etc.

Are the both getting the same amount of water? Of sun?
