For me, that dandelion head represents future effort. All it takes is for one to let go and then you have an increasingly bigger job year after year. I won't let my kids blow the seed head (they're called "wishes" because you wish they won't germinate on your lawn) no matter where they might be.

My wife thought it would be nice to get me a fancy paperweight with a dandelion "wish" encapsulated in clear resin and I told her I would divorce her on the spot if she bought it.

Hey, geese are great guard dogs/warning system. We had two when my kids were teen and pre-teen age. The two boys climbed out a bedroom window to visit friends (girls) around the corner. Guess who tattled on them and woke us up? The boys and I still laugh about that night.
