We have them all across the front of the house except for the steps, about 40'. Most of them are already 2' tall, and will get as much as 3' before they start to bloom. They love a place with good light but no sun. Just watch out for the slugs, deer and rabbits, who love to eat them.
My hostas have taken off over the past few weeks. They usually do well in my north-facing backyard, but this year, they are EXTRAORDINARY! I have four or five different varieties of hosta in one of my gardens, and some are now about two feet tall and about four feet across. It's crazy!
