Just don't stand too close because they will come flying out but they won't get too far.
The starting fluid covers their bodies and takes all of their oxygen and kills them.

Got my first Bald-Faced hornet queen in one of my traps yesterday. Last year there were nest everywhere in the trees surrounding my yard. I am also seeing Paper wasps sniffing the traps, but no takers as yet.

just saw a picture on FB but can't find it now. shows a brown peper lunch bag filled with plastic grocery bags- or anything really and hung up on the porch. Says it resembles hornets nest and will scare others away. worth a try.
