Other than a grinder.... are you patient? Drill holes, use circular saw to score it etc. Get some rock salt and keep putting it on , might be months... years. The rock salt will pull the moisture out of the stump and help start the decay process. Once you get it sufficiently damaged you can try burning the rest out.

We had about a dozen trees of various widths removed last year and we called in a local company that grinds stumps and paid him a few hundred bucks for an hour of work. Totally worth the money.
