WHAT THE HELL!!!!! really!
i have a rain forest of cucumber leaf and branches....yet not a single cucumber!
this year has been absolutely terrible for my cucumbers (in the northern VA area). I've never had this problem before.
no but seriously.....not sure why pollination wouldn't occur given that i have close to 20 separate plants in 2 separate rows and it's pretty plush....
Cucumbers may not set fruit because the first flowers were all male. Both female and male flowers must be blooming at the same time. This may not happen early in the plant's life so be patient.
Lack of fruit may also be due to poor pollination by bees, especially if prevented by rain, cold temperatures, or insecticides

All of the above plants tend to send out many males alone before the females, but don't ask me why. I have the same problem but it's no different than any other year. I have a greenhouse, but even outdoors there is a bee shortage in many areas so learn to hand pollinate for a better yield. It's very easy, just use a soft bristle artist's brush.

I'll try that next year! thanks!
by the way, i'm having the same issues with my zucchinis.....so....there's that too.
I have had the same thing happen with zucchini a couple of years in a row. I finally stopped trying to grow it because it was so frustrating.
