I was taking a picture of a butterfly this morning and when I went back to review my picture I noticed not 1 but 2 Monarch caterpillars hanging beneath the leaves of my milkweed that I started from seed this year.
I hope they make it to adult hood.

Doesn't get any better than that. They're voracious eaters, and your plants look nice and healthy to get them to their next stage. Keep the camera ready!

When they get ready to pupate and form a chrysalis they can be hard to find, especially if there are lots of plants around where they can find their "secret place."

Lucky!!!
I also sowed milkweed seeds and have 5 nice sized plants for them but no one has come to the party yet!
Enjoy watching them. I'll look for more pix from you.

OK Final picture of the Cats. If I can find the chrysallis' I'll post those. I'm now counting 5 monarch cats and the leaves are quickly disappearing. May have to move them to my other undiscovered milkweed plant in my wildflower garden.
