I recently noticed small buds on my vine that turned into this beautiful flower!

Can you please tell me what kind of flower this is?

Thanks!

Looks like one of the 'morning glory' family.

It looks like what is known around here as "field bind weed"
It is considered a noxious weed, and is very difficult to get rid of once it starts to take over.
...and it WILL take over!
Roundup is moderately effective, in strong concentrations.
IF that is what it is, good luck.

I agree. It's pretty - why in the world would someone suggest Roundup to kill it? Ridiculous.

It's from flower seeds. I could not remember what it was called. It's not a weed

Obviously, you have no experience with field Bind Weed. The flowers are very pretty, and can be several different colors, but it IS a noxious weed, and should be removed any way possible! Roundup, burning, ripping it out, whatever it takes.
If it is NOT FBW, of course it can be allowed to grow.
A flower is nothing but a weed with a great public relations worker!

Morning glories are not a plant that I would encourage to grow. I would kill it.

You Bet Your Garden - Are Morning Glories Pretty Plants? Or Invasive Weeds?

Much like the previous evil noxious weed in discussion here, burdock, it was defended by the naive because all plants are good, mmkay?

And also like burdock, good luck getting rid of field bindweed with any of the above methods. It will be back.

@wannaliveinGreenville

The second photo you posted of the giant purple thing, is no way the same plant as in your original photo. Perhaps similar looking flower, totally different leaf and growth habit. Take another look.
