This plant/tree looks like it's growing right out of the bottom of a Magnolia I have. It looks like some other kind of plant though. Anyone know what it is? I don't know whether to trash it or just transplant it.

That plant is a young pokeweed. The green berries will turn a deep purple--great for use as a dye or putting on kids' faces.

If ANY plant grows where its not wanted, that plant is a weed, by definition.

In NZ convolvulus is considered a weed, in Australia it is not.

I'd poison it. Pulling it might disturb spores and make the problem even worse.

If you catch it early on, and have a good bit of it, you can eat it, and it is pretty good! Reminds me of collards in the taste.
