Folks up north laugh at us but a few flurries down here are a big deal. The ice is the worst. I thought I'd post a few before and after shots just for fun.

Ah, winter. It comes and it also goes. Will any of the wildflowers come back in the spring or are they all annuals?
You might have provided a winter home for some small creature with that discarded pumpkin !

Great photos !!!!!

Thank you very much. This is our special wildflower patch and 99% are deer resistant annuals and a few perennials. We left them all there without cutting them down and they will definitely reseed themselves.
Looking forward to it very much. When it gets warmer we will take the weed eater to the stand stalks to disburse more seeds.

I remember those winters in Charlotte, NC. Growing up in Alabama, never saw as much snow as we saw in 1999-2003 winters. I don't miss the trouble is causes, but North Carolina is a magnificent place. I miss it, and wish I'd never come back to sweet home Alabama.
