Excellent article. I'm thinking of collecting some used storm doors and making a greenhouse against my garage. Since it's wood, I won't have any thermal mass, but some plastic 55 gallon drums, painted black, placed against the garage and maybe at the front of the greenhouse and filled with water will be a good alternative.

Between raising two 14 year old daughters, keeping a very big house and gardens and going to various doctors for several serious ailments, I spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet, specifically Facebook and CD. I sometimes go down a rabbit hole only to surface after a few hours with incredible information and knowledge. Plus I am in love with learning!
I have walls but live in Phoenix. I am interested in limiting irrigation, because after all, it's a desert. I have a pitifully tiny dragonfruit plant that I plan to train up one wall. I would love to cover them all!
Very cool!
I'm almost finished with an audiobook set in France during WWII. But the lead character had a garden with fruit trees. Seeing these pictures remind me of the book.
