This is my first thread of yours so I'll be curious to see how your year goes. I looked at the first and last pages of your 2015 thread and this year seems to be starting off completely different!
You made me do the same just now. Just looked at the 1st and last pages. I went from having crazy long lasting deep amount of snow on ground in March wanting to till the soil ..... to .... record number of temps in the 80s in August and September and wanting winter. LOL. That's me alright.
Being on Long Island you can do a few days or a week sooner unless you live in the sandy soil area where it gets cooler at night compared to rest of Long Island. (Pine Barrens)

Yup. That's exactly it. Sandy soil radiates the best. Heat escapes not only much quicker than other soil types but also much more. So when conditions are prime, those locations will show a significant difference vs surrounding areas.

Only things not in yet are the Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Eggplants, Hot Peppers and Bell Peppers.
In 2 weeks they will be unless its still too cool. Below normal with Cloudy and Rainy days next several days.

Garden Bed #3. Don't laugh. I don't know why I keep doing it every year? Notice the Big Trees. It only gets like 3-4 hours of afternoon sun. I had Potato success but this year I decided to try Squash and Pumpkin. lol
Potatoes popping and it hasn't even been warm. I pushed aside the Hay when it was sunny to get the sun to hit the soil directly. I will push back the hay when they grow some more. The stem shouldn't be exposed to light
What's going in next to the onions in bed #1? What about those two pots in front of the fava beans?
Haha! I needed more letters in "HotPeppers". Lol. All pots will have hot peppers, I think there are 30 of them? I havent counted yet.
4 rows of onions, sorry I got lazy and just drew lines instead of typing it.
