Here’s Why the Demand for Milorganite is Outpacing Production.

And this:

Milorganite Alternatives

Which even has a breakdown of local products available by state.

I was commenting on the Lesco product. They have many similar products but this appears to be the same one.

Best to buy things like fertilizer and grass seed locally, anyway. Shipping on 50 lb. bags ain't cheap and everything found at a good garden center is going to be tailored to the needs (and regulations) of your geographic area anyway.

Agree, my local HD will match Amazon, but even better is your local nursery if your needing special products.

Too many are using it beyond it's ideal use... late spring ONLY when too hot for others.
It's an expensive choice to use instead of ______ and earlier in the spring or the fall.

I do like Milorganite because I know I can basically apply it any time I want to and not have to do a special watering in or worry about timing it after over-seeding, for example.

But.....what I don't like is that it is very "diluted" and you have to apply a lot of pounds of it per sq. foot. So it's a lot to lug home from the store, a lot of space in your garage, and a lot to measure out. I probably make it a bit harder than I need to but I divide my yard into 4 or 6 sections and weigh out the pounds needed for that individual square footage to insure either perfectly even application or to be more precise with treating any problem areas.

So I need to put down my fall application and I just don't wanna do it! ...but I will before a hard frost comes.
