I'm not sure where you are in Michigan but the Lowes in Westland has 37 bags, Southgate 56, Woodhaven 15 and Southfield 56 and Bloomfield Hills, 6. Order it online and they will hold it for 3 days.
See my post above. My local Home Depot just got in 53 bags, and I ordered 10 bags before they all vanished again, and picked them up. As for Detroit stores, I'm 135 miles North-West of there. No way I'd drive that far with bags of Milorganite in my car, LOL.
I have Scott's spreader. Normally, I set it to 11.5 for the spread. This time I set the dial to 7 to carry the product farther. It still came out dark green.
I've been down with a back injury since the middle of December. I've missed 2 applications by their schedule. The yard, despite our having 102F temps for a couple of weeks now and no rain, still looks green and is the best looking yard on the street. We only get to water for 4 hours a week so it's not that we're watering and nobody else is. Seems like Milorganite has a considerable residual effect. I'll be putting on the July 4th application next week. FWIW, I keep several bags on hand and buy it off schedule. Don't know what's in it, don't care what's in it. It works and that's all I care about. I've spent over 50 bucks for a bag full of junk and chemicals that didn't do anything. I can spend a lot less and know it's going to work. Want a green yard and water less, here's the ticket-Milorganite.
Milorganite is is the best out there. Deep Greening, thick lawn , leaves busting at the seams. It does get sold out from local stores which only cost 12 bucks and you have to get it online from Amazon from $25+.
Have yet to find a bigger bang for the buck product.

To me, it smells like downwind of an over-flowing septic tank, or outhouse!
I put mine on 6 and spread it in 2 different directions.
