Luckily, our veggie garden is inside the 5' fence, so the deer can't get to it. Plus, if they get to close to the fence, the dog makes sure they know their place But the front yard is wide open, and we have herds of deer. Just tonight I had to stop and wait while nine (9!!) crossed the road.

Anyway, I love hostas, and apparently deer love them as much or more than me. So lets start a discussion on what works for repelling deer. I've read about eggs and water, hot pepper and water, millorgomite, and a few others. What has worked best in your garden?

LOL Ok, how about for those of us living in suburbia. I only have 3/4 acre and I don't think my neighbors would appreciate it.

Keeping Deer out of the Garden

Lots of ideas here!

I've moved out of the city to the burbs and get a few deer, but they're not a problem.

However, I used to get Lion Dung pellets to keep cats out of my urban garden, wonder if it would work for deer?

All you need is two eyes and a shotgun.
