I had more weeds in my raised veggie beds than I like this year. For my fall plantings I'm thinking about using wheat straw as a mulch. In the past it would start growing which means I need to weed. Can anyone advise on this and what should occur when using wheat straw as mulch? Thanks! JBug in Tn
I have also used wheat straw that had enough wheat left that it sprouted and I had to 'weed' the wheat sprouts. Make sure you get 'clean' straw.
