I planted this saijo persimmon tree in 2014 - it was doing great previous 2 years, even got a handful of fruit. But this year, I noticed it's dropping fruits and now dropping leaves; half of the tree is "naked" branch now.
I took some pictures on the back of the leaves, it looks like there are some tiny insect(?) on the back of the leaves. Can you tell me what they are? and any way to get rid of them? Can the tree still be saved? Now that it's almost September. By the way, the tree is in NYC metro area; zone 7a.
