Hard to get a good pic of this thing but I saw is buzzing around like a bee, but it looks like a moth too? Maybe a hoverfly but the color seems off.

this is a different hawk-moth than the OP's. note the transparent wings and coloration.
this is a bee-mimic.

My first thought was a Hummingbird Moth.

It's possible it may have been what I know as a hummingbird moth. Adult of a tomato hornworm. Google might know.
