Hi, I've read a bit about transporting houseplants across state lines. It seems that if you repot with fresh soil and put a flea collar or repellent with the plant you may be allowed to pass.
I'll be driving I-40 out of CA across NV, AZ and into NM to ALB.
Has anyone encountered agricultural inspection station along that route?
I looked for maps highlighting such locations and don't find anything. I do see many entering CA.
There strictly house plants, succulents, jade etc. and we'd hate to lose them.
Thank you I couldn't find any on our intended route of I 40 either so I think we're ok. I'd have hated to lose these plants! Thanks Nn2036
You should be safe. I have driven everywhere in the country( although not that portion of I-40) and never seen any agricultural inspections elsewhere. I think California is an exception.
