My garden gets hit by fungus each year due to moisture and humidity--last year it was the peonies in the front yard, this year the asiatic and lily trees. The only ones that were spared were the backyard patches but the chipmunks and bunnies gnawed on them
My yellow lily trees somehow is still standing tall and straight--last year they were the first casualties to the bunnies. Being in my garden is like watching the plants playing russian roulette.

There are fungicide sprays for sale online....I bought just the small one for my container plants....especially tomatoes. Amazon etc.
Just finished up planting some things in the front yard. Wanted a couple roses, but something different. Loads of Knockout red roses in the area. So I managed to find a couple of miniature roses that filled the bill. One is Diamond Eyes (purple with a white center) and the other is All A'twitter (bright orange). One coneflower I planted earlier didn't make it, so picked up a Hot Papaya coneflower to replace it (orange-red double bloom). Really added some more summer color to the area.
My Franklin tree has over 100 flower buds on it and they should be opening in a couple of week. Really looking forward to that.
These are pictures from other years but their new and improved relatives are blooming loudly right now. And I'm happy to say I've got a little more time to tidy them up this year. (Feel like a messy housekeeper posting these lovelies and their weed companions!)

I have Rose of Sharon shrubs blooming along my l-o-n-g driveway...previous owners planted them in various colors of blooms. Love the lilac-colored the most...
I had to look them up, greatblue, and I see why. They aren't appropriate for Zone 4 where I live. They look like hibiscus!
Upon further checking I see they are members of that family. We supposedly have a Zone 4 hardly hibiscus but I haven't had luck with it nor has my neighbor. And the times I've grown them outside and brought them in in the winter I have a space problem when they grow large.
I can just imagine them growing along the driveway. How heavenly!
