Container combinations (containers, leaf, planting, shade)

I am looking for some successful combinations that are colorful for my containers. I have used combos of lobelia, petunia, geraniums, lantana, coleus, ipomoea, dracena spikes, verbena. begonias and lambs ears to name a few.

It depends on colors and height of plants....

dracena spikes are great either in the back or in the middle of the planting... then upright plants, finishing around the rim with trailing plants.

I usually just arrange them while still in the pot...you can see if you want to first change or make a substitution, like arranging flowers.

Also....arrange soft plants ie lobelia against larger leafed plants ie geraniums for the contrast of textures.

Dracena spike, geranium, lantana for a sunny location....begonias, coleus, lambs ear for area with some shade
